Hand-Painted Madhubani Masks
These artisanal "Madhubani" masks were hand painted in India. This 2500 year-old folk art style is created using fingers, twigs, matchsticks, brushes, and nib-pens.
These paintings start with a hand-drawn outline made from rice paste that is then filled in with brightly colored natural dyes. Floral, geometric and animal patterns common motifs.
