Tribal-style, fully hand-embroidered Uzbek suzani jacket and robe.
A suzani is a large, embroidered textile originating in Uzbekistan. The word suzan means "needlework" in Farsi. Suzanis were traditionally used as wall hangings, table covers, prayer mats, seating, and bedding. They were also made by brides to present to their husbands as part of their dowries on the wedding day. They were embroidered with symbols of good luck and fertility.
