Ajrakh is the most luxurious and expensive form of Indian fabric printing. It requires 14 different steps. Creating even small amounts of this beautiful, artistic fabric is extremely labor intensive. It must be hand block printed, resist-dyed, dried in the sun, washed and then repeated over and over. The more time these fabrics spend in the sun, the more intense the color will be. The kaftans pictured were dyed using indigo leaves for the blues and madder root for the reds. A true labor of love.

Our kaftans are hand printed by a family of traditional Indian Artisans in Bagru, Rajasthan. They are so comfy you will feel like a queen. They are 100% cotton and have a drawstring waist with beaded tassels making them suitable for many sizes. Great for a lounging around the house or pool, but is easily dressed up for errands brunch or shopping. And it is the ideal vacation dress! Wear it open for a loose fit, or with the waist tied for a more fitted look.
