Indigo is a natural dye that is extracted from the leaves of the indigo plant. It is the only natural blue dye.
Our sarongs were all hand-dyed in Bagru, India, a small town outside of Jaipur. Our indigo is fermented in a deep vat that go 13 feet into the ground. A healthy vat has a layer of foam at the top.
